My name is Cainan Barnett.

I began this archive during my lifetime as a record of what one human being thought while living through a period of extraordinary technological and social change.

These writings were not preserved because I believed they were all correct. They were preserved because they were mine.

If centuries separate your life from mine, much of the world described here may seem primitive, strange or incomprehensible. Whatever world you inherited, this was one human being trying to understand the world that came before it.
