The More Certain Someone Sounds, the More Questions I Have
I've noticed that the people who sound the most certain about something aren't necessarily the people who understand it the best. Sometimes they're incredibly knowledgeable, and their confidence is justified with a piece of knowledge from schooling, residencies or experience.

I can grow a lot of things. I can take one plant and turn it into thirteen. I can dig up a pot of cannas and somehow end up with 55 viable rhizomes sitting in front of me.

I Don't Know What I'm Building Yet
I don't actually know what I'm building here yet. That's probably a strange thing to admit on the first day of building something I also want to somehow survive for hundreds of years. You'd think I'd at least know what the hell it's supposed to be first.
